The SOCS research group develops fundamental and applied research in the broad field of computer communications and networking. More specifically, the group is interested in the design and development of novel protocols and algorithms for network resource management and optimization, network security and anomaly detection, and healthcare networked systems. The activities of the group involve both theoretical and practical research. They rely on advanced mathematical models and on adapting tools from various fields of applied mathematics such as game theory, convex optimization and machine learning to devise solutions in networked and communication systems.
